Greetings,
I'm hoping to use COFFEE (already am) to teach students basic programming. COFFEE's immediate response within C4D makes it ideal as it shows the students how and why their coding affects 3D objects within the app.
But... COFFEE seems to be stuck at version 9.5. And with newer versions of C4D, it seems that COFFEE is not being updated to accommodate those versions.
1. Is there any plan to slowly fade COFFEE out of the picture?
2. I notice that C++ seems to be replacing functions, etc. now non-working COFFEE ones. So, is it safe to say that I can "easily" replace C++ code within COFFEE code and still get the quick response?I would hate to design a fun curriculum around COFFEE on ly find out that support will be minimal or lacking in the future.
Need advice. Thanks.
Richard

COFFEE has been updated for CINME4D R11. The documentation has still to be updated though.
There is a list of new function for R11 in this thread:

An updated COFFEE documentation is really needed.
While many new things "works similar as described in the C++ SDK"
that is a very hard route to take for most folks (me included!).Looking at the different fora for some time back, there is a growing interest in scripting that , I would imagine, will be greatly helped by a up to date documentation. Pushing Cinema to an even better app!
Cheers
